For those interested in sadomasochism i'm planning a trip up to hanging rock/pilot mt. to ride the triple hump metric route this sunday. if you're interested , you can go straight up to hanging rock state park and we'll meet there at around 10am and start the ride by 10:30...or some will be meeting at the harris teeter parking lot on airport road (near intersection with I-40) at 7:45am and leaving promptly at 8am. it's about a two hour ride to hanging rock. this is a very tough ride with 8600 feet of climbing over 65 miles! some of the grades reach 18%! so if you're up for it please join us. the drive is around 2hrs to hrsp. the weather forecast for the area is mid to upper 50's and sunny...great weather for climbing. send me an email if you have any other questions. tom ricketts will send out a map of the route. you can also get a ride description on www.ncbikeclub.org and click on annual centuries. you'll see the three mountan metric listed on that page.
